Real, named people write and medically review our content — with credentials you can check. This page lists our authors and medical reviewers and explains how clinical content is reviewed before it carries a byline. Peptide therapy is a YMYL subject — "your money or your life" — so the bar for who stands behind a page is high.
Ksenia Petrushkina is a board-certified physician assistant (PA-C) with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Florida International University. Her clinical work centers on peptide therapeutics, hormone and thyroid health, and metabolic and longevity medicine, and she is an active patient educator who emphasizes what the evidence does and does not support. She reviews PeptideWellness clinical and educational content for accuracy against prescribing information, trial data, and FDA guidance.
Disclosure: Ksenia is co-owner and a clinician at Ideal Medical & Wellness, a South Florida wellness practice.
Non-clinician contributors who add domain context. They do not perform medical review, and any commercial interest is disclosed below.
David Bonfa is co-founder of CRE8 Pharmacy, a PCAB-accredited 503A compounding pharmacy in Florida, and president of 3AD Consulting Group, which advises compounding pharmacies and wellness clinics. He has roughly 25 years in the pharmaceutical-compounding and functional-medicine industry. He advises PeptideWellness on how compounded medications are prepared, handled, and quality-controlled. He is not a licensed clinician and does not perform medical review.

A medical reviewer reads the published version of clinical content and checks it against primary sources — prescribing labels, trial data, and FDA guidance. The review is substantive: it flags claims that overstate the evidence, language that implies efficacy a regulator hasn't established, and dosing or safety statements that aren't supported.
A medical reviewer must be a licensed U.S. clinician — a physician (MD/DO), physician assistant (PA-C), or nurse practitioner — holding an active, unrestricted license that is individually verifiable in a public registry (a state licensing board and/or the CMS NPI Registry), with training matched to the coverage they review. Each profile publishes the person's credential, license or NPI, and an external profile so readers can check the claim themselves. We also work with non-clinician subject-matter contributors — for example, a compounding-industry advisor — who add domain context but do not perform medical review; their role and any commercial interest are disclosed on their profile.
A reviewer with a financial interest in a company covered in a piece discloses it and recuses where the interest is material. Authorship and medical review are independent of any commercial consideration, as set out in our editorial policy. How we source and verify is in our methodology.
If you believe a clinical claim on the site is inaccurate or out of date, write to [email protected]. We review every flag against the source and correct the record when warranted.
Editorial note: medical review supports editorial accuracy. It is not a substitute for individual medical advice. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider familiar with your medical history. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
